For me, Rozalia Russian is the epitome of a style icon. Beyond beautiful, Rozalia's style is refined, her taste is on trend and her love for fashion extends from Chanel to Bardot! Married to Melbourne entrepreneur and Club owner, Nick Russian, Roza's accomplished resume includes wife, model, ambassador, IT girl, blogger, and soon to be mother! Even heavily pregnant, Roza still manages to make 'with child' look stylish -no oversized sweats for this mumma! My admiration for Roza started with her instagram. Filled with fashion tips , daily outfit posts and interior inspiration @rozalia_russian is my favourite insta-stalk! So as you can imagine, I was over-the-moon when Roza launched her own fashion & lifestyle blog earlier this year.
I recently had the absolute pleasure of talking with my style crush Rozalia about her own style inspiration.

Who are your style icons?
I love Elle Ferguson from they all hate us. Her style is so effortlessly cool. I also read Elin Klings blog ‘Style by Kling’ as I admire the way she has been able to build a successful brand and collaborate with so many incredible designers from Guess to staring in a campaign for Louis Vuitton. I love both Elle’s and Elin's laid back approach to style. They always look polished but never like they have tried to hard.
Are you an online shopper or do you prefer the in store experience?
To be honest I’m not really into online shopping. I am a very visual person and I like to see and try things on for myself before I make a purchase. I have found in the past that something could look amazing in a photo but in person its not amazing at all. I also find that sizing are so different amongst different brands that you sometimes need to adjust your size according to the style and label so I am defiantly a person that tries before she buys.
Favourite shopping destination for every day wardrobe pieces?
For everyday pieces I am all about comfort. I love to shop at Bassike as they have the most comfortable basic t-shirts and jumpers. Green with envy has a great selection of labels that I love including Alexander Wang, Nicholas, Acne and many more. One stop-shopping destination would have to be Myer. So many great brands under one roof.
Favourite shopping destination for accessories?
When it comes to accessories I love Tom Binns jewelry. The necklaces are absolutely incredible and can dress up any outfit. I also love Peeptoe for their shoes and accessories along with Charlotte Olympia clutches.
Go-to blog or magazine for style inspiration?
Blogs I read as mentioned before are ‘They all hate us’, Style by Kling’.
I read other blogs here and there but those ones would be the only ones that I check daily. I love all magazines from OK, to Madison and even Belle Interior. I’m obsessed with home wares so I spend hours reading interior magazines.
Who are your trusted fashion advisors, Who do you turn to for input on what you are wearing?
I have a pretty good idea of what I like and what I don’t like and over the years I have also learnt of what does and doesn’t suit me so I am pretty confident in my fashion decisions. I do ask my husband on his opinion as I know there is nothing worse then being out at a function somewhere and you know that your partner hates your outfit. It makes your feel self-conscious, as all of us girls want our partners to see us and think we look beautiful. Saying that there are some items such as wedges that no matter how much my husband hates them I couldn’t imagine giving up.
Most memorable purchase?
My Wedding day shoes. I purchased them from Sergio Rossi in Milan. They where beige colour with gold detail that I thought I would be able to wear again. They are that beautiful that I am too scared to damage them and haven’t worn them since. They sit proudly displayed in my walk in wardrobe.
Your number one item that every girl should own?
An amazing pair of designer shoes. Doesn’t matter how cheap and basic the outfit is, if you put on an amazing pair of statement designer shoes you will look like a million dollars.
Finally, what winter 13 trends have you been most excited about?
Leather and fur. I was born in Russia where our winters were beyond freezing so they only way to keep warm was to wear fur. My mum says that even my nappies were fur! I Know fur is controversial but it is something that I have grown up with and I see as a part of who I am. In terms of leather is there anything cooler than leather pants or a leather jacket? They are definitely my winter staples.
